Entrepreneurship and Career Program (ECP) launched with Bizneserye pilot run

Last May 15, 2021 the CFC Migrants Program’s Tawid OFW Program (TOP) launched the  Entrepreneurship and Career Program (ECP) with the pilot run of the BizneSerye Webinar Series:  Mga  negosyong pwede kong pasukin (Business Development).  A week later, May 22, 2021 the actual run of Module 1 was held.  Both events were participated by ninety-three (93) attendees which include thirty (30) guests and the BizneSerye Team.

The launch was graced by the presence of Bro. Bong Arjonillo, CFC Global Mission Foundation Inc.’s Chairman as he gave the opening address for the event.

Five (5) Break-out sessions were conducted for possible business ventures that participants may engage into namely:  Manufacturing- Soap Making; Food Business; Franchising; Agri-business-egg selling; and Delivery or Rider Services. More business options will be provided as the BizneSerye modules are presented.

Module 1 of the BizneSerye was presented by Bro. Tony Obien, program head of TOP ECP while the break-out sessions were facilitated by  Edu and Agnes De Ocampo (manufacturing and soap making); Eileen Carreon, Eileen Pamintuan, Cora Simbulan and Gitte Pagdagdagan (Food business); Tony Obien (Franchising); Nono Simbulan (Agri-business egg selling); and Inigo Pimentel ( Delivery / Rider services).  After the presentation of the business opportunities or options by the facilitators, the participants were given the chance to ask the facilitators questions regarding the business venture presented.

The result of the feedback survey is encouraging and most of the attendees indicated that they would continue to attend the BizneSerye sessions.

The BizneSerye consists of nine (9) modules namely:

9 Modules

These modules will be given in scheduled sessions and will last until August 2021. Tentatively schedules will be as shown.

Upon completion of the module, the engagement with the participants will continue with mentoring, hand holding and regular monitoring.  Mentors will be assigned to those who will establish their own business ventures.  There will be regular monitoring of the progress of the venture.

Participants will be assisted in sourcing out capital for their business. Partnerships with institutions and other entities providing loans at socialized interest rates for business venture capital will be facilitated by the BisneSerye Team. Accreditation with financial institutions, government agencies, and other entities will be worked on to accredit the BizneSerye graduates and to qualify them for business capital loans.

The goal of BizneSerye is to provide earning opportunities for repatriated, displaced, and distressed OFWs due to the existing Pandemic and even those non-OFWs who were also affected.

More than ever, we must show our OFW brethren that we care, and ready to serve them when they need help the most. They are the  same OFWs, through their sacrifices, have helped sustain our country’s economy for many years especially during the financial crises.

To God be the Glory!
