Diocese of Antipolo Partners with Dep-Ed Antipolo for Online Tutoring Project

The Diocese of Antipolo Commission on Migrants and Itinerant People (DACMI) entered into partnership with the Department of Education , Antipolo City for an on-line tutoring project,  through a Memorandum of Agreement  signed 23 September 2020.

The MOA signing was held via zoom platform with Father Jose Bautista,  Director and Dario P. Coronel, Lay Coordinator, of   DACMI and Superintendent Dr. Christopher Diaz and Dr. Jonathan Domingo, Chief of Schools Governance Operation Division for the city.  They were joined by the tutors, principals of the schools, teachers and PTA representatives.

Prior to this project, DACMI has an existing partnership with the SDO of Antipolo on the formation of OFW children, and because of the pandemic, both parties saw the importance of  expanding the reach  to other students.

Amelia Coronel, Tutoring Project Coordinator said that they now have 70 tutor volunteers with diverse and interesting background ranging from a masteral graduate to former teachers and tutors, young volunteers studying from the University of the Philippines, San Sebastian ,Philippine Normal University, etc.  NSTP Volunteers  from St. Benilde La Salle are also part of this project.
