Strengthened partnership with CFC ANCOP to jointly support Tawid OFW Program

Last November 18, 2020, the Addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Couples for Christ Global Mission Foundation (CFCGMFI) and CFC Answering the Cry of the Poor Global Foundation (ANCOP) was signed at Cathedral Café, Intramuros, Manila. Present during the signing were Bro. Bong Arjonillo, CFCGMFI Chairman, Bro. Boyet Rafael ANCOP Board Member, and  Bro. Jess Ferrer CFC MP Program Head.

CFCGMFI, through its CFC Migrants’ Program (CFC MP) composed of CFC volunteer members, advocating and working for the welfare of Filipino migrant workers also known or called the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), has conceptualized and developed the Tawid OFW Program (TOP). The TOP is designed to provide assistance to distressed repatriated OFWs due to Covid19 while CFC ANCOP, a social development foundation has the network, structure, accreditation, and other requirements to implement a social development, disaster/calamity response project.

 Under the MoU, ANCOP agrees to adopt the TOP and CFC MP was authorized to do the implementation of the TOP under the supervision of both CFCGMFI AND CFC ANCOP.

  1. The CFC MP volunteer members, in implementing the TOP shall:
    1. Provide project management knowledge and skills in implementing the TOP;
    2. Provide formation and learning modules both in digital and traditional platform;
    3. Share knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship and other business- related knowledge and skills;
    4. Initiate information, communications, and project marketing campaign by setting up or using existing CFC MP social media accounts, website. and traditional platforms;
    5. Prepare and submit a regular program progress report as may be required and agreed upon; and
    6. Do other activities necessary for the successful implementation of the TOP.
  1. The CFC MP will be authorized to solicit or raise funds in the form of donations, sponsorships, fund raising activities, to enter into partnerships, sponsorships and cooperation agreements with religious, government, non-government organizations, private institutions and individuals both local and foreign. Such activities shall be done under the name of ANCOP.  The name CFC Migrants Program’s (CFC MP) and its logo may be included in the agreements, flyers, and other paraphernalia for the purpose of properly identifying and specifying the TOP from the other projects and activities of ANCOP.
  1. All funds raised or generated for the TOP shall be deposited in an ANCOP bank account specifically designated and dedicated for the TOP.
  1. ANCOP Provisional Receipts (PR) and Official Receipts (OR) will be issued to individuals or institutions who have given amounts for the benefit of the TOP.

With the MoU signed, CFC MP is now ready to implement the TAWOD OFW Program (TOP) for the repatriated, displaced and distressed OFWs, our unsung heroes – ANG BAGONG BAYANI.
